Obituary


Services to celebrate the life of Sue Hanley Case, 80, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday at Memorial Funeral Home with Wayne Cox and James Pasley officiating. Burial will follow in the Henry Cemetery.



Visitation will be from 12 noon until service time at 2:00 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Home.

Mrs. Case died on August 10, 2017 at Sanctuary Hospice in Tupelo after a brief illness. She was born on March 22, 1937 to the late Pat and Ernestine Hanley. Family was everything to her, both her physical family...

Mrs. Case died on August 10, 2017 at Sanctuary Hospice in Tupelo after a brief illness. She was born on March 22, 1937 to the late Pat and Ernestine Hanley. Family was everything to her, both her physical family and her church family. She was a devout Christian wife, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, cooking, watching TV, and spending time with her family and especially loved to watch Jeopardy with her Chihuahua Maggie.



In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Case; sister, Nancy Crabb and brother-in-law, Bill Crabb.



Mrs. Case is survived by her sons Tommy Case (Keturah) of Corinth, Bobby Case (Angie) of Tupelo, daughter Carol Carney (Larry) of Corinth. Grandchildren, Colt Hopkins (Kayla) of Waterloo, IA, Andrew Case (Leah) of Gainesville, FL, Hunter Hopkins (Alyssa) of Corinth, Ashley Steward (Jameson) of Memphis, TN, Shannon Hopkins (Scott) of Corinth, Lauren Case of Corinth, Austin Case of Olive Branch, MS and Abby Case of Corinth; great-grandchildren, Case Hopkins, Harley Treece, Layla Hopkins, Nate Steward, Lucie Case and Cooper Hopkins; sister, Glenda Muse of Tupelo and a host of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Colt Hopkins, Andrew Case, Hunter Hopkins, Jimmy Brawner, Greg Muse, and Neal Crabb. Honorary Pallbearer will be Austin Case.
